Extension of Brown Act Provisions and AB 361

Good Morning All,

As discussed in many of the area meetings, academic senates are required to have a resolution passed every 30 days to be compliant with the extension of the Brown Act provisions for remote meetings and AB 361.

Do any of your senates have a resolution in this regard? I am in the process of drafting a resolution but would like to compare language and structure.

Are you saying you just passed a motion as part of the Senate Agenda? 

Or did you write and pass a resolution. A resolution seems excessive and a bit formal.

Yes we passed a motion as part of Senate Agenda. And it is now on our consent agenda monthly. I didn’t think a resolution was necessary. (Every senate operates differently- so I can see that that might be important/necessary for some Senates).
