[CCCPHP] __toString() must not throw an exception

Hola, estic fent una migració de servidor de 5.2 a 5.3 i a part d'alguna collonada menor, estic tenint seriosos problemes amb aquest error:

__toString() must not throw an exception

he canviat tots els throw per trigger_error que segons he llegit diuen que si que és permés, però nanai...

algun suggeriment al respecte?
