Hi all, this message is cross-posted.

I'm hoping to find relevant OER to recommend for 12 nursing courses for a new bachelors-level program in Oregon. I'll list the course names here, and more details are available at BSN 26-27 Recommended OER for Evaluation. I'll share back a roundup of responses.

Thanks in advance!

Hello, Amy --

Leadership and Management in Professional Nursing Practice by Dr. Michael Aldridge from the University of Northern Colorado could be a good option for the Nursing Leadership course.

Best,
Nancy Henke

Hi all, thanks to all the folks who offered very helpful replies! A roundup is below.

Rachel Milani went way above and beyond by offering recommendations aligned with the course titles/descriptions I sent. Her list is pasted below and is pulled from her excellent Nursing Guide

Amanda Langdon also shared the doc OER for NURS, which has additional recommendations in categories such as repositories and images.

Additional recommended titles are incorporated into Rachel's list below. Many people also point out that the OpenStax Nursing Collection and Open RN are high-quality places to start.

SUNY has a forthcoming book on Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, & Physical Assessment (3Ps) in Professional Nursing Practice.

VIVA has a forthcoming book that follows up on their existing book Community and Public Health Nursing: A Call to Action. New book description: "This text would complement the existing OER text, Community and Public Health Nursing: A Call to Action, and address the needs of commonly unacknowledged or overlooked, including erotically marginalized folks (2SLGBTQIA+, the nonmonogamous, those engaging in alternative sexual practices, sex workers), religious minorities, stateless people (Palestinian, Roma and Ashkali, among others), and non-nuclear families."

Thanks again all!
Amy
