Dear Collective Wisdom,

My Centre for Learning and Teaching has asked if there are any institutions that have produced open licensed training materials around reflective teaching practices, teaching portfolios, etc.  As I’m anticipating additional requests, really any leads on open licence materials around the practice of teaching would be spectacular!

I’ve checked OERCommons, MERLOT, BCcampus, Open Textbook Library, and other repositories.  I’m looking for Centres out there that have handouts or website content with an open license that I will not find via a repository.

Thanks!!

Jessica

Vanderbilt’s Center for Teaching and Learning has, if you scroll to the bottom of their front page, a creative commons license for most of their materials. They are the gold standard, as far as I’ve seen, for centers of teaching and learning (or at least one of them).

Hi Jessica,

Most of the OER I see on teaching practices are about online learning. I like this open textbook on Creating Online Learning Experiences and also the work by Michelle Pacansky-Brock. She does a lot about humanizing online learning. Take a look at the link and see the resources that are in there. All with CC license.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Regina
