Hello.

I’m wondering if any of your institutions or institutions you know of offer a course in the College of Education on OER  / open pedagogy?

Also, I’m sure there was a MOOC around this, but can’t find it. If you have the link I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Hi Heather –

Not sure if this was the MOOC you had in mind, but Jenni Hayman led one back in Spring 2018 called Making Sense of Open Education.

Best,

Maureen

IPT 531 at BYU is Introduction to Open Education. Here is the site I used most recently (2018) and the book I co-wrote with students in the class in 2016.

Let me know if that helps...

Hi Heather,

I know of a open textbook in development lead by Kimberly Hoffman and Alexis Clifton. It's called Open Pedagogy: Varied Definitions, Multiple Approaches. It's still not released, but you can follow the team's progress on the Rebus Community platform.

Have a great day!

There's also https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Open_Educational_Practices . Let me know if you have any questions on this course.

Also, we're just finishing the fall session. We haven't made plans yet for a spring offering. If there's demand, I'd be happy to run it again. If you would be interested, please reply and let me know.

Thanks!

Thank you everyone. I’m going to be developing a course for our College of Education as an offering for the pre-service teachers. I’m doing a scan to see what resources are already available that we might be able to make use of.
