Dear all,

Hope this email finds you well as we approach the end of 2025.

For those of you with the bandwidth for professional development, please see below (and please excuse the cross-promotion):

Registration is open for our first CC Certificate courses of 2026! Whether you want a deeper understanding of digital literacy topics like opening access to digitized collections, open educational resources (OER), open licensing, or you want to engage in our open movements, the CC Certificate courses are open to everyone.

Our courses provide the key building blocks for open licensing efforts in education and academic librarianship in just 10 weeks.

Join one of our courses and learn the basics of:

  • Copyright

  • The public domain

  • Limitations and exceptions to copyright such as fair use

  • CC licenses and how to use them

  • Additional considerations in open access efforts, such as accessibility needs, traditional knowledge efforts, and AI

Beyond the basics, CC courses connect participants to kindred colleagues, copyright, and open access experts around the world, including our alumni community of over 2,300 people in 73 countries.

Register today, and start 2026 off strong with CC Certification! Our next courses run January 26 to April 5, 2026.

We understand many people would like to join our courses but cannot at this time. In case it helps, our course content is openly licensed and freely available

Warmly,

Jennryn
