Continue the Community College Presence in the OE Awards for Excellence

CCCOER members likely have gotten one ore more recent emails call to enter nominations for the 2024 OE Awards for Excellence. I wanted to add a direct appeal to this community to continue a tradition of recognition of community colleges.  I would not even be here working at OE Global were it not for my 14 year career start in the Maricopa system.

Since it's start, the awards have been given to 24 community college people or projects, and I'd like to see more on that list for this year. I have to admit that when I started working here at OE Global, I thought well, awards are nice for a few people, but now hearing the stories of impact on award winners in our OE Global Voices podcast, getting feedback from shortlisted nominees, that really the value is surfacing all nominations as we did last year.

Please do not factor the potential of being in the winners circle when thinking of someone or something to nominate. The most key part of the submission is a strong and clear statement of the reason for nominating and the connection to the award category (explore them and previous winners for inspiration).
