Hello!

 

I’m writing to share with you the news about WisTech Open. WisTech is a collaborative project between the 16 technical colleges in Wisconsin to reduce student textbook costs to promote affordability, equity, and student success. Current content includes the Open RN nursing textbook series and Next Gen RN, as well as in-progress content focusing on early childhood education, manufacturing, respiratory therapy, digital literacy, and emergency medical services. Funding was advocated for by Wisconsin technical college students and awarded in 20223. Below is the potential annual impact of WisTech Open in Wisconsin:

  • 40,270 students
  • 6,479 high school students
  • $6 million in student savings
  • 16 textbooks
  • 18 courses
