Hello OER colleagues,

The University of Arizona Libraries seek an Open Education Resource (OER) Specialist to provide production support for our Digital Borderlands Anthology – OER that will be developed as part of the Digital Borderlands in the Classroom initiative funded by the Mellon Foundation. The anthology will feature chapters by participants in the Digital Borderlands in the Classroom Summer Institute, showcasing their innovative course integrations of borderlands scholarship, archival research, and digital tools, and will be published in both English and Spanish through the U of A’s Pressbooks platform.

This is a full-time extended temporary, project-funded position with a start date of February 2026 and an end date of June 30, 2027. The pay range is $59,404-$74,254 and the position is benefits eligible.

Please see the job posting for application details, a full description of the position, duties and responsibilities, and minimum/preferred qualifications. To ensure your application is considered, please submit your application materials by 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on the first review date of Nov. 10.

The OER Specialist will report to me and I’ll be chairing the search. Please reach out to Armando Cruz in Human Resources with any questions about the position.

Best,

Cheryl

Hello OER colleagues,

Several people have inquired whether this position could be remote, so I wanted to share this information:

At this time, this position is posted with the expectation of the employee being physically located in Arizona. Our preference is for a candidate who can work in-person or hybrid at our Tucson campus, however other remote work accommodations will be considered for individuals residing in Arizona on a case-by-case basis.

If we do not have a sufficient pool of viable candidates after the date of first review (Nov. 10), we may consider requesting university approval to open the position to an out-of-state remote arrangement. The job posting would be updated accordingly. If you would like to be notified should the position open to out-of-state remote arrangements, please let me know at ccui...@arizona.edu. Please note that applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for this position, and we are unable to hire U.S. citizens living abroad.

If you’re interested in applying, please see additional details below!

Best,

Cheryl
