Good morning, all!
The Iowa Open Education Action Team is excited to announce our fourth annual call for participants for our OER Communities of Practice
The purpose of the CoPs is to support instructors across a discipline who want to connect with peers over a shared interest in open educational resources (OER). Participants in this free online program will have the chance to foster connections, build expertise, and identify, adapt, or create OER to support their work.
I am sharing this call with you because this year, the communities of practice (CoPs) will be open to non-Iowa educators as well!*
This year's cohorts will support educators in the following disciplines:
  • Psychology
  • Teacher Education
  • Environmental Science & Agriculture/Agronomy
Please share this call with those in your community who may be interested. This program is recommended for those with a beginner- to intermediate-level understanding of open education.

Important Dates
  • September 19: Applications are due
  • September 26: Applicants will be notified of acceptance
  • October: Virtual kickoff event
*Please note: Only instructors from Iowa will receive $100 at the end of the academic year for participating in the program and completing an assessment reflecting on their experience. Participation is free for all educators, but we only have enough funding to support those from local institutions.

Sincerely,

Abbey K. Elder
