Join us Tuesday for the Live Stream Reveal of the 2026 OEAwardees

We invite everyone to join us Tuesday at 10am PT / 1pm ET for the announcement of the winners of the 2026 Open Education Awards for Excellence.  Register to reserve a front row seat in zoom (if not possible, no worries, we will record).

Following our gardening metaphor, we began in June with collecting "seeds" of recognition as nominations. As the main purpose is sharing all contributions, the information for everyone of 204 nominees is available as a linked document on the OEAwards web site. Our master gardeners, the 2026 OEAwards Review Committee went to work in July to evaluate the seeds. They emerged from the green house with the 48 people and projects publish as the Shortlist of Finalists.

The final step is sharing Tuesday the 4 winners each in the Individual, Open Assets, and Open Practices categories plus a set of special awards chosen by OEGlobal. This is what we reveal Tuesday.

I want to thank my colleague Heather Blicher for her active promotion and encouragement to the CCCOER Community.   This is reflected in community colleges being represented in 21 of the nominations plus  the participation of 9 CCCOER people in the Review Committee.

We hope you can be there Tuesday, but also know that we will be sharing in our social media channels all nominees on a regular basis plus are planning an online showcase event in November. The awards program aims to recognize all participants in the process.
