Cal OER 2026 conference (July 29-31)

Hello Colleagues,

The sixth annual Cal OER Conference will be held virtually on July 29–31, 2026. The conference will showcase the impact of OER initiatives across California, with a particular focus on collaboration and innovation within the state's three public higher education systems: the California Community Colleges, the California State University, and the University of California. Sessions will highlight effective practices, emerging technologies, research, and strategies for expanding equitable access to high-quality educational resources. Naturally, educators, administrators, librarians, students, and advocates from everywhere are welcome to attend.

The theme for the 2026 conference is Exploring the Open Frontier: AI and Emerging Technologies in OER and our keynote presenters will be Anna Mills (College of Marin) and Joel Gladd (College of Western Idaho).
