The OERizona Network is a professional learning community that seeks to unite a vibrant community of educators to explore, create and share Open Educational Resources (OER) and open practices. The state-wide network is dedicated to ensuring access to OER, building supportive and engaged learning communities, fostering collaborative partnerships to share resources and knowledge, and welcoming diverse perspectives and groups.
The 7th annual Arizona Regional OER Conference will be held virtually on February 27 & 28. There is no registration fee and participants are invited to join us to discover innovative teaching and learning practices, connect with like-minded educators and explore how Open Educational Resources (OER) and open pedagogy can enhance student success for all learners. |

| Who: Advocates, practitioners and anyone else interested in open education. This event is free and open to the public. What: A virtual experience inviting participants to showcase projects or ideas, learn from the community, build effective resources, and connect to an ongoing community of practice through the OERizona Network. Where: Virtual When: February 27 and 28, 2025 Why: OERizona Conference seeks to support student success and close the equity gap by promoting awareness and adoption of Open Educational Resources and open pedagogies while encouraging collaborating through institutional partnerships across the state and beyond. How: The 2025 OERizona Conference is hosted by Pima Community College and actively seeking institutional sponsorship for the event.

We are inviting proposals to facilitate breakout sessions focused on projects, initiatives, showcases or insights involving Open Education. Proposals should keep the conference theme in mind and directly address one or more of the suggested breakout topics/tracks. At the same time, you are encouraged to shape your proposed session to best communicate your unique experiences with and ideas about open education at the local, regional, national, and/or global level.

Suggested Topics/Tracks: Student success stories and metrics from OER implementation Promoting equity, inclusion and access through OER Opportunities for collaboration/connection across colleges/institutions/K-12 Institutional OER initiatives: successes and lessons learned Engagement with students about OER and textbook costs Obstacles to OER adoption (and maybe how to overcome them) Technologies to support development and dissemination of OER Local, regional, national, and/or global arguments for OER Experiences authoring and remixing OER What It Means to be a "Leader" in Open

| Session Formats:
Virtual Presentation -- 25 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A An opportunity to showcase and share a project, strategy, or idea.
Interactive Virtual Workshop -- 60 minutes Designed to maximize interaction and involve participants in some sort of meaningful work, whether individual or collaborative. Participants should (virtually) walk away from a workshop with something that they can use immediately in their classroom or open education initiative.
Proposals (for either breakout sessions or workshops) with a commercial or product-centered focus will be considered, but only if the reviewers determine that it will be valuable to attendees.
