Hello-
You are invited to take part in a research study on inclusive access programs and open educational resources (OER). This study is being conducted as part of my membership in the Open Education Group Research Fellows Program. I am conducting a research study that will explore how academic library personnel who oversee their library’s OER initiatives perceive the impact of inclusive access or equity access programs on those OER efforts.
I am reaching out for your assistance in conducting this research. For this study, I am seeking participants who are library employees who are currently working at a higher education institution in the United States and who have job responsibilities that include overseeing their library’s OER or other textbook affordability initiatives. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to educating the campus community on OER, assisting faculty with OER discovery, overseeing funding, etc. Participants should be over the age of 18.
If you are interested in participating in this study, please complete the initial interest survey to determine your participation eligibility. This brief survey will ask eight questions. The survey will take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete. The survey is available via SurveyMonkey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5VWJN79.
If you are eligible to participate, you will be contacted by the email address you provided and asked to participate in a virtual interview via Zoom or Microsoft Teams that will take approximately 90 minutes. If you agree, the interview will have audio and video recorded to capture data.
Your participation in this study is completely voluntary, and you can stop at any point in the study. Information gathered during the interview will be kept confidential. You will be assigned a pseudonym at the time of data transcription, and no individually identifiable information about yourself will be shared with others.
Please complete the initial interest survey by 11:59 p.m. CST on June 5, 2026. I will contact all eligible participants by June 12, 2026.
If you have any questions regarding this study, please feel free to contact me at sabr...@ttu.edu or by calling (806)-834-6431.
