Hi everyone—

I’m working with a faculty member who is teaching an open-entry GED prep course. She has people who only come in for a few days, sometimes in the middle of the term, and then she has students who stay for the whole term.

I was thinking that creating independent modules for each subject area of the test would make it a lot easier for her to create differentiated, custom instruction.

Does anyone have any pre-baked GED prep content, or a line on where I might find some? I’ve done a preliminary search, but didn’t turn up a whole lot. An .imscc cartridge would be awesome, of course (and I’d also like a pony), but components and parts are also great.

Thanks for any help,

Hi Tom,

As much as I wish I had a pony for you, I can only provide a recommendation;) I'd connect with the eLearning leadership at Everett Community College. Jennifer Jennings, who is featured on the faculty stories page on OpenWA.org, led the charge to create study materials and other resources for GED students. Jennings and her department are amazing leaders for anything related to the GED and Transitional Studies. I'm just not sure if they have shared what they've done outside of EvCC, but I know they used Canvas to host their work.

Stay fabulous,
Alyson
