Subject: Message from the Office of the Special Envoy for Haiti

Dear All,

The United Nations Office of the Special Envoy for Haiti (OSE) and the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund  (FOMIN) have developed the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Portal that will enable CSOs operating in Haiti to inform each other about their activities and report on their current status and needs. In order to ensure that this directory contains the most complete and up-to-date information, we need your help.

Please find the link to the Haiti CSO Directory on the homepage of the Office of the Special Envoy for Haiti website, www.haitispecialenvoy.org. Follow the link to the Directory of Civil Society Organizations where you can find your CSO profile, register, update your profile and post any needs or recovery efforts that your CSO is currently undertaking.

If you need technical assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us at CSOH...@iadb.org.  Thank you very much for your help in this joint effort.

Best regards,

Violeta Maximova

Hi Chandra, Its a very nice website, but doesn't it duplicate co-ordination mechanisms already in place? Are the cluster leads responding to this in any way?

Best wishes,

Gareth

The website http://csohaiti.org/ has info I have not seen any place else ... MAP locations of Haiti civil society facilities such as orphanages hospitals schools etc.  However, this kind of map probably not meaningful for NGOs that are all over any map.
