As we enjoy our fall weather, it’s time to get the trails at the Lake ready for for (hopefully) a wet winter. So join us this Sunday and dig in the dirt!
Volunteers get free entry, day use passes for use at another time at either Santa Margarita or Lopez Lakes, chance for raffle prizes, and lunch provided by Atascadero Horsemen’s Club and SLOPOST.
To get to Santa Margarita Lake: from the town of Santa Margarita, go East on Hwy 58. At the intersection of Hwy 58 and Pozo Road, continue straight on Pozo Road for approximate 15 minutes and turn left at Santa Margarita Lake Road.
For those who want to carpool: meet at the SLO Vets Hall by 7:30am.
Wear appropriate clothing (long pants, long sleeves, study shoes), and bring a hat, gloves and water. Tools will be provided. There is some poison oak on the trails. We will do our best to minimize exposure.
