Dear colleagues

 

Please find the latest CCCM/NFI Displacement Tracking Matrix analysis report including the appendices tables. The raw DTM spreadsheet as well as the report will be posted on the CCCM/NFI website on http://www.un.org.ph/response/clusters/cccm/index.php

 

Key findings are detailed below for ease of reference. Please refer to the analysis report for further details.

 

Findings specific to 47 evacuation centres in Region 4-A, Region 3, NCR and CAR,  hosting a total 25, 519  people (6,009 families), as of March 10 2010:


Camp Management

  1. 83% (39 out of 47) of evacuation centers had camp management committees.
  2. 38% of evacuation centres (18 out of 47) were found to be susceptible to climate hazards and risks (further flooding).
  3. 74% (35 out of 47) of IDPs did not have access to information on government relocation plans.

 

WASH

  1. 57% of evacuation centres fell short of the SPHERE standard ratio of taps/water points per person.
  2. 61% of evacuation centres fell short of the SPHERE standard ratio of latrines per person.
  3. 47% of evacuation centres had appropriately segregated bathrooms, for males and females.

 

Shelter

  1. 23% (12,123 people) of the total displaced population are accommodated in makeshift shelters with a significant proportion of these located in Region III.
  2. 42% of sites reported as having no electricity supplied on site

 

Health

  1. 15% of sites reported that no health services were provided at the site
  2. 25% of evacuation centres reported the distribution of infant formula or milk products.

 

Education

  1. 4% of all evacuation centres are public schools.
  2. 100% of sites recorded that children were going to school
  3. 57% of evacuation centres reported that no classes or informal education being conducted

 

Protection (Risks to Vulnerable Populations)

  1. 78% of evacuation centres were able to forge a feeling of security and safety among their IDP populations.
  2. Less than 6% of evacuation centers reported incidences sexual harassment and less than 4% reported child abuse.
  3. 8% of evacuation centers reported incidences of domestic violence.

 

Food and Non-Food Items

  1.  10% of evacuation centers reported never receiving any food throughout their displacement period.
