Cluster meeting highlights
Dear colleagues
Please find the highlights of yesterday’s cluster meeting attached.
2 key issues for immediate feedback are detailed in the text below:
- IOM is holding a camp leaders workshop with the objective: To develop leadership skills and enhance community participation in Camp/EC management.
Attached is the program for camp leadership workshop on March 8 to 12, 2010 at Caliraya Recreation Center, Lumban Laguna. For those who want to help in the facilitation we will have a meeting on Friday 1pm (IOM office) to finalize session flow.
Batch 1 March 8-10 (Laguna & Zambales pax)
Batch 2 March 10-12 (Rizal pax)
This workshop will be in local language. I hope we can get confirmation by Friday midday for those who want to facilitate. Please confirm with Christy Marfil on mma...@iom.int if interested
- Communication boards are being installed in 27 sites
Protection and health clusters will be providing posters to be put on these boards. IOM is prepared to facilitate the logistics of posting the materials. If posters are provided to IOM before the 8th of March they can be distributed at the EC leadership training. Please liaise with Charis Galaraga agal...@iom.int or myself over this.

Any agencies engaged in CCCM activities or distribution of NFIs particularly family kits (as these are not covered in other clusters) please submit before COB today.

The draft agenda is detailed below:
- Follow up to results of Displacement Tracking Matrix Feb 4 report
- Establishment/strengthening of camp committees
- Enhancement of DSWD Camp Management Guidelines
- Communication boards in IDP sites
- Information management matrix
- Potential impact of upcoming elections on camp management
- Revision of CCCM/NFI cluster strategy

Also, noted at the IM meeting was that further reporting will be based
on the 3W info and as such as much as possible we will need to improve the
quality of data.

to municipality, status and beneficiaries are all filled in.

Can I request all agencies conducting CCCM activities or distributing NFIs to complete the latest 3W matrix (Who is doing What Where) and forward it to me. Please find attached the version relevant to 19 Jan. Please add latest additions to the bottom of the matrix and highlight in yellow. The matrix is also available on the humanitarian response website http://www.un.org.ph/response/index.php.
The deadline for submission of the latest version is March 1 2010.
