Dear Cate,
Thanks and will do. I will bring along copies of the reports submitted to OHCA/HCT listing the list of in-country supplies/assets/human resource for DSWD’s information and appreciation that these resources are available to support government’s assistance to the affected population. I will likewise share the felt need on shelter as shared by General Ramos.
Will keep you posted of the result of the meeting.
Best regards,
Dave

Dear Dave,
Thanks very much for this
info -- great to see that the Government is convening a CCCM/NFI cluster
meeting. You might want to mention that the HCT has consolidated a list
of in-country assets/supplies, including NFIs, that can be made available
quickly. You might also like to mention that some UN agencies might be in
a position to procure certain items in-country (although if these agencies are
present in the cluster meeting obviously they should do so). The
OCD/NDRRMC has requested that all government requests for items on our list be
chanelled through them.
FYI, in a meeting at the
NDRRMC earlier today, General Ramos stressed that the most urgent need right
now is emergency shelter (it's raining heavily in many areas and there are many
people without shelter) but I imagine that for those who have been displaced
and therefore need tents, certain NFIs would also be a priority.
Kind regards,
Cate
