My friend is trying to locate this part for his amp ... and they are no longer available ... does anyone have a couple they would be willing to part with?

Thanks so much!

So that particular jack comes in a variety of mounts and types that you can find at at Amazon or Radio Shack.

Does it need to be the insert connector on the male side? Is this going in a mixing board or off label uses?

If it is you probably can try another slight variation ( Neutrik NA3FDM XLR D Series 3-Pin Female to Male Adapter (which is the direction yours flows, or they also have a Female D Series 3-Pin Male to Adapter ) which both genders and which has the same XLR connectors and is also made for a board insert. You may also get around and use a cable style version depending on how your end project is. Keeping mind this is the most common connection for mics.

If not I have a friend who's a boom operator for MGM and I check to see if they have the older ones around. The part number at the site you're using is 092-075.

The only real caveat is the length as the new one is shielded a bit longer but it still has the female connectors in. The right formation and they appear to be

Can you tell me if this is going in a board, the end of a mic cable, or boom or what so I could help and maybe narrow it down a bit more?

If not I would believe both of those items will work.

I just forwarded the e-mail to my friend, Greg, and he'll get in touch with you.  He's our NEWEST CCCKC member just as of this week!

Thanks Hal ...

Here is what Greg said (he's not on the egroup yet):  the part is going on a board and from what i have found the they change the connector for the newer version of these part. the hard part is trying to fit it on a board on the mic jack side of it.

Does that help any to clarify it?

Sharon,

Can he take a picture of the PCB and the device he is trying to fit
this into so we all have a better understanding of his dilima?

It will help with the brain trust here in helping you out.

XLR connectors come in many flaovrs and mounting configs.

Thanks Bob ... here are some photos from the board (XR600C Channel BD) ... he needs the female XLR connectors because some of them are broke that are soldered onto the board.  These connectors are a "through hole" versus the newer ones that are not.  Greg says "thank you" for helping.

Thru My vast resources the best one is this i could come up with :

Some others that may work would be these but you may not have the head room to mount in the panel even though they are PCB mount.

To me if you could get them to mount to the panel and run the wires thru to the board you could make a better mechanical mount
but your depth behind the panel is the sicking point i believe.
