Two questions.

1. Capactive or resistive?
2. Anyone bought from this site before?

Rooting for sure unless the bootloader is locked or something.

I have bought a ton of stuff from them on total impulse. I haven't researched this device at all. Yet.

Someone said they saw this tablet for $60 in Kohls at one of the little kiosk things in the main walkways.

I saw that, and I *think* it was Kohls that sold ipad's for like $299 at one point.

I checked their site and couldnt locate the $60 tab right away.

I think I might pass on this one, I bought a cherrypad (http://www.cherrypal.com/c515.htm) when they were released and returned it after about 4 days... .

I may hold off until this winter's tablet releases before pulling the trigger on something.  Sweet deal though!

There's a firmware that opens it up, and gets the Android Marketplace to work.

I'd pass.  Pandigital's other products are generally rated as Avoid on Amazon.

I have the Chinese version of the CherryPad (from DealExtreme) and it's OK.  Resistive.  Just fast enough.  I reimaged it to try to get the market to work but that turned out to be a mistake.  However, I hacked it and got the market to work, FWIW.  Decent, but not a game-changer.    It's very very useful for Android development - tons faster to squirt an app out the USB and fire it up there than it is to do it through the emulator.

Yeah its nothing I NEED but something cheap would be fun for the Android ADK stuff (Arduino) Besides I can use that for $99 worth of Maker Faire kit awesomeness!

Well I think we need 3.1 for the ADK stuff and I am a complete Android OS noob much. My son did just get an EVO though so we could play with it as well.

No, you need 2.3.4 or newer.
