Anyone have one of these bad boys in a junk pile around...

Can't clear the old programming from the fire panel without a programmer for this unit or some expensive software plus dongle combo.

I can order an old d5200 off eBay for like $200 but then I have to be able to load the correct handlers into the programmer.

I still contend that any system this complicated cannot be as reliable as
Something simple that doesn't need to store esoteric custom software somewhere that I can't view it or edit it without specialized hardware.

Radionics is dead

It's all Bosch and has been for a long time.
7212, 7212G,7412,7412GV2,9412, 9412GV2 and the new GV3 panels all use either a 5200 or Remote Account Manager to program. Also called RAM or RPS.

The lock codes everyone seems to refer to is put in by you, the dealer and or end user, not Bosch.

If it's brand new out of the box, it does not have one.

The default lock code for these panels are 12345 and the default RAM Pass in all panels is 999999.

Once you have your 5200 on, you may change these features however you see fit.

If you planned on using the wireless feauture with your 9412, you will need version 7.00 firmware installed on your board.

Pop the metal face plate up from the bottom two stand offs and look at the chip in the upper right of the board for firmware revision.

Best just to get the latest anyways if your going to do this.

You'll also need the latest if you want to use the D1260 Enhanced Keypad versus the D1255 Keypad.

Bob

You rock, great info...

Yeah I knew radionics was dead.

I've hot the old d1255 pads... So no worry there.

If I can get my hands on a d5200 I shoul be in business.
