This seems harder to figure out than it should be...

Dang Rio group rates already gone.
So BlackHat is training that is extra $ ahead of briefing and then only 24 and 25 for the briefing (seems pricey) and no schedule of speakers yet. Is it first come or register later?
Defcon (cheap, got the badge for 150 from blackhat registration) has no schedule yet. Is it first come or register later?
Have you scoped out what talks you want to go to yet?

I haven't been there for the last 10, not going to be able to make this one. Maybe next year I'll be able to swing it.

There is a much cheaper hotel next door if the hideous hotel rates are
too much.

Check out the gold-coast hotel. Its like 30ish dollars a night.

Do you have a ticket to B-Sides LV? The door folks are going to be sticklers about tickets and the event is already sold out.

Unfortunately I have to bow out this year due to a project running long.
Hopefully I will be in KC again long enough at some point in the future to make it to an event in town
