Dear Resident,
New housing development is an important topic that affects everyone living in Clane - over 720 homes have been fully permitted or built since 2017.
Clane Community Council has taken High Court Judicial Reviews of several planning permissions granted by An Bord Pleanála since May 2021. The cases challenge the legality of allowing over-development of up to 525 additional homes, over three times the limit of 145 homes.
Clane residents are invited to a Special General Meeting of the Community Council on Monday, 14th March at 8 pm. The meeting will discuss planning, housing and the judicial reviews.
This meeting responds to a request by fifty-four residents concerned about the judicial reviews, including one relating to 91 homes.
To avoid any possible health risks, this meeting will be held online using Zoom.
