hey gang,
August 15th will be my last day at CCBC, marking a 10 year stint. I'm moving on to Prince George's Community College to become the Director of the National CyberWatch Center, which will allow me to continue to do the work I've been doing these past 10 years, but on a national scale. It's also allows me to be a stand for community colleges in cybersecurity education and the various national conversations about how best to solve the immediate workforce shortage problems in information security. I have loved my time at CCBC and leave on great terms.
For those that I've had the pleasure to work with in various capacities - it's been an honor. I have learned more from you than you could possibly know. Know that you pushed me to constantly learn and grow professionally and academically, and I wish you the best of luck. For those I didn't get the chance to work with, you are in good hands as the CCBC Information Systems Security program stands poised to remain one of the best in the country. There is strong leadership at CCBC at the highest levels (e.g., President, Department Chair, Dean), insanely great faculty (e.g., Jesse, Jeremy, Noell), and exciting things planned as it relates to upgrading the classrooms, continuing to develop new curricula, and exploring new possibilities for remote labs. Not to mention, we are all expecting big things in the various cyber exercises and Cyber Defense Club.
