Johannes Kreidler is a German artist who is structuring a protest
performance in which he will formally register a song with 70,200
samples on 70,200 forms as mandated by GEMA (the German equivalent of
the RIAA). In the video referenced in this blog piece, there is an
interesting, albeit confused, quotation taken from a document sent by
"the music industry's manufactured stars" to German politicians:
"...intellectual property is the oil of the 21st century."
