July 4th paddle

Hey Everybody;

Joe's annual July 4th paddle will be on the Black River (and of course), on Friday, July 4, 2025. This is a 9.5 mile paddle through mostly wooded terrain. I rate the paddling difficulty at easy/medium (the higher difficulty occurs when wind, water level and weather create more of a challenge).

Time:

Meet at the put in at 8:30 am. (to unload boats and gear)

Put in:

Hwy 108 landing on the Black River, just south of Melrose, WI.

Take out:

North Bend, WI landing on the Black River.

Shuttle:

The shuttle will begin promptly at 9:00 am.

Lunch:

picnic on a beach. I'll bring brats, a grill, buns, chips, and condiments. Marty will probably bring a watermelon.
