C&C Peat is still seeking support for our proposed Goose Prairie Peat Mine in Lake County and we need your help. By harvesting the peat from this dry prairie, we are returning the area to what it was in the 1940s, prior to man-made impacts. The process has unfortunately become political, and while we have met all of the regulatory requirements, and have never had a complaint lodged against us in 33 years of operation, we are up against some organized misinformed resistance. We need your support in order to convince the county commission that this operation is good for the industry, economy and environment.
