Hi all,
You've made it to
Week 4! (Well, some of you. Don't worry if you're behind, it's easy to catch up!) If you haven't completed last week's mission,
check it out now, including the video recording of the Google hangout which is linked at the top.
This week:
1) Google hangout is at the same time (
Thur 3pm US pacific). RSVP directly to me with your Google email and I'll invite you to the hangout when it starts. You can also RSVP at the pad:
http://pad.p2pu.org/p/cc4k12.
2) Your peers have posted links to where they usually search for educational resources at
http://cc4k12.wordpress.com/, in addition to their experiences finding materials for their classroom. I have responded to all posts in the comments, in case some of you have the same questions, or would like to comment on each others posts!
3) Your mission is to learn how to attribute CC licensed works, understand the basic concept of remix, and if you can, conduct a remix activity with your students. How to do that is explained at
Week 4, but if you don't fully understand Attribution or Remix by the end of the challenge, you'll see that I have curated lists of additional resources you can check out for each topic. They are all pretty good resources, so just pick one or two or three, and browse through them!
Lastly, I have a question for you: In searching for educational resources on the web, was it easier to figure out what you could do with a resource if it had a CC license attached to it? Feel free to share your experiences at the
blog!
Best,
Jane
