Hi everyone,
Welcome to
Week 5 of the course! We only have a few more weeks left... This week:
1) We're switching it up and returning to Blackboard Collaborate for our virtual meetup, as some have expressed issues with Google hangout. All you have to do is click on the following link this
Thursday, April 18 at 3:00pm US Pacific time/UTC-7 (convert to your timezone
here) to join the room:
https://sas.elluminate.com/m.jnlp?password=M.201F591479750E670246FFFB9315F5&sid=2008170
Hopefully, this allows those of you who just want to tune in to do so more easily! Like all meetups so far, it will be recorded for those who can't make it.
2) Please note that this week you have
two missions, one that is due as usual at the end of the week on Sunday, and a second mission that you will work on over the next two weeks either by yourself, with a group of your peers*, or with your students. This second mission is to create a resource explaining CC, aka everything you have learned so far in this course, and it will be your final project. It is up to you how and who you want to work with on the latter. Details at
https://p2pu.org/en/courses/9/content/24/ - so head on over and post any questions you have to Disqus!
*If you would like to work in a group with other course participants, let me know by Thur, and I'll connect everyone who replies in an email thread together.
3) Check out your peers' remix projects from last week at
https://cc4k12.wordpress.com/ and provide feedback. For example, there's an awesome video about the Cuban Missile Crisis made entirely from public domain and CC sources!
See some of you Thursday!
And for those of you who are behind, take advantage of the next couple weeks to catch up!
Best,
Jane
