Tucson Community for Change is having a meeting and YOU'RE invited!!!

If you are receiving this email, you are a part of TCFC and are welcome to get involved as little or as much, as you'd like or are able to....

What is Tucson Community for Change? We're Tucsonans who branched out from the Obama Movement, who work with numerous organizations and individuals to bring about the change Obama is currently fighting for.

We had a wonderful meeting on February 14th where we formed 4 core Committees:

1. Poverty - The Chair position has not been filled yet
2. Healthcare - Ben Bosley will Chair this Committee as he's passionate about healthcare for all
3. Equality - Larry Sakin will Chair this Committee as equality is a passion for him
4. Environment - The Chair position has not been filled yet

These four core Committees will cover a broad array of needs here in Arizona and I look forward to working with the Chairs to move Tucson, AZ (And surrounding areas) in the right direction...

We also elected officers, at this meeting:

President: Sarah Robinson
Co-Vice President: Tani Sanchez
Co-Vice President: Yolanda Hallberg
Secretary: (unfilled, do you want to fill it? contact me to discuss)
Treasurer: Rosalie Gold

Tucson Community for Change Meeting

When: Saturday, March 21st, 2009 - 11:00am - 1:00pm

Where: Camino De La Tierra Townhomes (Clubhouse) 2720 N. Swan Rd.
*Directions - The townhomes are at the SE corner of Glenn & Swan

Bring: A dish to share (please call me if you prefer to bring drinks or paper products)
If you'd like to take notes, you may bring a notepad. We'll provide as many pens & notepads, as we can.

This meeting will be advertised in the Tucson Weekly, AZ Daily Star and a few other publications. We're expecting about 50 people, so please be sure to RSVP.

We'll have a few guest speakers, info. about various volunteer opportunites, some local politicians and a free raffle ticket for gifts, for everyone who attends.

I am very excited about this meeting...
