I know a few of us are interested in a work meeting. Here's my proposal:

ProM Jam #1: Project matching on a spreadsheet

Aim: create a working project matching model, we're we input basic data and output matches. We can use dummy data and/or our own personal data, doesn't matter so much.

Platform: Google Spreadsheets. (Note that spreadsheets can do very complex things - in my engineering undergrad years I used one to model heat exchangers, and I doubt that this will be much more complex than that.)

Algorithm: Let's start with a simple one (e.g. the one used at TED events, based on how many tags there are in common between two groups)

Advisors/Resources: I have a friend who's worked in data warehousing (databases) for years, very experienced with Excel. I'll see if I can get him online during the jam - but at least I can send him specific questions.

If others are interested, we can set up a time on Doodle.
