But then again it's not!!!

The Cause GCPs impacted over 550 lives in 60 days!

Sounds crazy right?  But when you have great Young Philanthropists on your teams, what seems impossible to some becomes obtainable!!!

Congratulations folks, you did it!  It was hard work and took time but it definitely paid off.  You made a difference in the lives of over 550 youth in the DC area.  Take some time right now, and pat yourself on the back :-)

Team #Food_ASAP: You spent hours researching Ward 7's food desert and working to find a feasible solution.  And your solution was brilliant!  Two days were spent at Kelly Miller Middle School speaking with students about healthy food choices and providing them with tasty and nutritious smoothies- yum!  And it made a difference for 500 students.  You also raised $70, only used $27 and will donating the rest to DC Central Kitchen.  And that partnership will impact even more lives. Thank you for your hard work and service!

Team #MenWhoMentor: You worked diligently to recruit 50 Black men to serve as mentors and raise funds for 50 guided journals.  And you did it!  Through personal ask letters, Twitter chats, social media outreach and a great event, you will impact at least 100 lives (the mentors and their mentees)!  This took a lot of work and strategizing, but you surpassed your goal- in the end you recruited 54 Black men and raised $630!  Thank you for your hard work and service!

Capital Cause thanks you for being a great example of how Young Philanthropists can have a HUGE impact on the community.  Your work and success makes the organization look good!

I also want to personally thank you for a great Cycle Three.  This is my first "quarter" as a Capital Cause Administrator and I had an awesome time.  Thanks :-)

So what's next?

1. Please update your hours spreadsheet so we know how much time you spent working on your GCP.  It's important!

2.  If you have not done so yet, please follow-up with your donors, mentors and volunteers.  If you have a personal relationship with anyone on the list, I recommend you thank them as well.  And include a few pics too!  (You should all have access to the list.)

3. Get ready to share your feedback!  Look out for the GCP 3 Evaluation and Debrief information next Friday.

4.  Stay tuned for information about the GCP 3 celebration Happy Hour!

Thanks again!
