My many apologies -- it looks as though I only sent them to Karla. They are listed below. But I should be at the event by 11 am as well.

Below my talking points for tomorrow's presentation:

  • Mini-intro, with background on the challenge we were given: Create access to healthy food options for 500 residents living in a food dessert in Ward 7
  • After many brainstorming sessions, we finally decide to connect to the students at Kelly Miller Middle School
  • Connected with City Year and participated in their "Spring Fling" celebration and with DC Central Kitchen and DCPS for "Strawberries and Field Greens Day" -- both events held at KM
  • During our table sitting, we were able to connect with 275 students and their families
  • During "Strawberries and Field Greens Day", we connected with 350 KM students
  • Special thank you our volunteers and partners for making this Giving Circles challenge such a great success.
Any suggestions for anything I should add? Feedback is more than welcomed, :-)

You said you were going to send talking points to the group by the day's end and when the didn't come it seemed like you were having difficulty.  We should meet up at the event to make sure you have all of the correct talking points.  I should be there by 11 am.

Jean,

I don't mind at all speaking on our group's behalf, but anyone is welcome to tag-team with me to make the presentation as well. And I think that's a great idea!

Chasity, if something has come up please let
Us know and one of us can fill in.  Also I think that since we have the names of donors and volunteers on the slide we should either let them stand or raise their hand to be recognized.

Good Morning Everyone!

I have no problem with presenting our slides tomorrow. I will draft up my talking points and have them to you all for review by the end of today.

Thanks so much again Karla! :)

Good Morning team-

Hope your day has started off right!

Last night, we had a brunch planning meeting where I received more information about the logistics of Saturday.  Please review and respond where necessary.

1) Doors open at 11AM and the bottomless mimosas are from 11AM to 12PM.  The program starts at 12PM.  You will be seated at a table with other GCPers (not with industry leaders).  You can use the time prior to the program to network.  At noon, everyone will be seated.  Your presentation is at 2PM.

2) Each team has a 1 minute long presentation.  Which team member(s) will be leading the presentation?

3) Press will be present at the Brunch and will most likely want to interview members of the GCPs.  Please be prepared to share information about your project and your results.  I am awaiting talking points from Capital Cause.  Once I receive them, I will share.

4) There will be one more edit to the slides... :-)  I will send the final version, but it probably will not be until tonight or tomorrow morning.  The information will remain the same but Jalisa will be giving me some graphics assistance.

Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thank you for your patience as we finalize the brunch logistics.

We are really excited about Saturday!  Look forward to seeing you then.

KM
