1. Below is Jerry's thank you.  City Year would be interested in partnering with us again.  I also sent Jerry what I could find on our hastag #Food_ASAP (https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Food_ASAP&src=hash).  Jerry mentioned that these was the other food options:  "We had 500 hamburgers and pizzas, 250 cupcakes from red velvet and sprinkles, 15 pizzas and 3 platters of fries and chicken tenders."

 

1. Our next call is set for Thursday, May 30th at 7pm, using the conference call-in line.

 

1. If Jen could confirm with DC Central Kitchen and/or OSSE that they are dropping off the educational materials to Kelly Miller On Wednesday, and send Jean the list of approved questions/talking points, we should be set.  Chasity can send that information unto KM administrators.  Can someone volunteer to tweet that day?

 

1. Karla will check on Monday night if there are any other volunteers that are interested in coming on the 29th.

 

1. Jean will send thank you to donors, and Jen to send thank-yous to volunteers.  Rob will find out the name of the guy who showed up at the end.

 

1. Rob will check with Kezia on the June Brunch details and on what we are expected to do for the presentation.

 

1. Extra money will be given to DC Central Kitchen. Jen will see if her company can help match.

Thank you from the City Year teams at CW Harris and Kelly Miller Middle School for attending Spring Fling at Kelly Miller Middle School on May 18th. It was truly a successful event having over 275 students, parents, teachers, and community members. Including all the organizations and volunteers, there was over 300 attendees.

Hi everyone!  

Today went well.  I got to talk to almost every kid.  I sent some pictures via my iPhone to Kezia and Chasity-- but I had problems with the emails going through.  I will try to send tomorrow.  DC Central Kitchen also sent a photographer out so hopeful they will send me the pics soon too .

I am leaving DC for 10 days on Friday night... Did Y'all met last week?  Or is there another meeting scheduled before the brunch?

Hey all!

 

I would suggest we meet or conference call the week of June 10th then....I'll be out of town and am trying to wrap things up at work tonight before I head out tomorrow afternoon.

 

In the meantime, Rob, can you ask Kezia about if we can show the pictures we get from DCCK and my phone into some sort of diplay at the brunch?  I think they ahd somethign like that last year.....
