Sad to say i just sent my 1981 CnC 34 (not 3436) to the breakers yard. My 5-year ownership on the Chesapeake was a terrible experience. It was diesel fumes from the day i got her to the day i scrapped her. I repowered the original engine and then due to a mishap the repowered 2008 Yanmar 20hp seized due to oil starvation. The electrics are on the fritz, none of the nav lights now work, a thru hull is leaking, the teak ply bulkheads are splintered and need replacing. It is race rigged with kevlar sails and i am a cruiser guy. I dream about roller furling.
My new boat is a 1962 Pearson Ensign - solid as a rock, with a new 2025 6hp outboard, full keel sloop with a 3ft draft for the bay, and it has a roller furling headsail :-) ...
