To My Beautiful, Talented and Super Awesome Friends -
I am writing to personally invite you to get some
good brunch for a good cause with some good (bad ass) young changemakers! Will you join me? Not sure if you know...but
Capital Cause - a young philanthropist org I volunteer with - is hosting its
3rd Annual Young Philanthropists Industry Brunch on June 29, 2013 at NOON at the Sphinx Club.
I could tell you this
Brunch will
UP YOUR POWER PLAYER STATUS by connecting you with senior leaders from the White House, Google, Microsoft, the Washington Post, and Society for Human Resource Managers...just to name a few.
I could tell you that...but I won't.
I could tell you this
Brunch will
CHANGE 800 LIVES because proceeds will benefit this year's Young Philanthropist Giving Circles which involved 20 Young Philanthropists in funding $6,000 to nonprofits serving 172 youth who struggle with reading, poverty and homelessness, ...
Yup, I could tell you that...but I won't....
I could tell you that this will be the
BEST $50 YOU EVER SPENT. Yes. I said $50...and yes, I said
$50 for a brunch. But real talk - last time you went to brunch you probably spent nearly as much and only changed the life of the waiter who you tipped 10.5%. So, do yourself a favor, #give4good and help 800 people who need you! Small investment = Large Return = Good Busy-ness, peeps! But you know thisss....S
o there's no reason for me to tell you that, so I won't....
In short...
I could tell you that 300 of DC's YOUNG PHILANTHROPISTS will attend. I could tell you about the ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT NEW ORLEANS STYLE BRUNCH CC will serve. I could you tell you about the BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS. I could tell your $50 HELPS CHANGE 800 LIVES. And, I could tell you the last two year's brunches SOLD OUT.
Yup, I could tell you that....but naw son, my lips are sealed!!
Instead, I'll just ask you - my friend, my homie, my ace-boon-coon (no offense!) - to join me in doing something good for someone else.
If the thought of helping other people isn't enough sway, then do it just for me...and I will be eternally, forever and always appreciative that you made that choice.
I look forward to seeing you <3
In Philanthropy,
Kezia M. Williams
