SEMI ARID AGRO OPPORTUNITIES:
If you’re a Ugandan with land in one of the semi-arid ecological zones in Uganda, do not loose hope, apart from growing short rotation crops, you can extensively engage in Commercial Cashew Nut growing, it does very well in semi arid areas and it starts fruiting in 1 year, for more details visit https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=50milliontrees&set=a.827830020596945 Tanzania earned $251.7 million (578.9 Billion Tshs) in 2018/2019, exporting 213,000 tons of raw cashew nuts. The prices of cashew nuts have gone up. Prior to 2019, one kilogram of cashew nuts was going for US$1.62 in 2017 and US$1.70 in 2018. In 2019 the export price changed to $1.49 per kilo, by -12.597%.

Please note, the new Presidential directives to control the further spread of the 2nd wave of the COVID19 virus, Agriculture activities have been left open. However, the shut down of inter-district public transport, has affected our field operations. Therefore in this regard, we have suspended all our field visitations, unless the client is willing to incur the cost of Driving, our limit our field visits by motorbike to 50Km from Kampala, by motor-vehicle we’re able to move across the Country.
