That's almost right. A "submitter" (AIDRS) is probably one of the most
important concepts we ever introduced.
It allows you to attach a probability distribution to all aspects of AI
arrival ---- the point is to emulate the load on the cloud.
Submitters regularly issue "aiattach" commands over and over again based
on the configuration you choose, such as
1) how long AIs are supposed to live, 2) when they die 3) what load
level they use 4) the time between arrivals
and more.
By itself, aiattach is good for testing a single, standalone application
cluster, but if you really want to stress the capabilities
of your cloud, you will want to start using a submitter as soon as
possible ---- if that is your end goal.
Otherwise, just aiattach is good enough.
