I'm trying to run SPEC Cloud on an EC2 instance. (Please open the attached image)
The left terminal is in the cbtool shell after a hard reset.
The right terminal has run "./all_run.sh RUN2".
However, I'm running into an error that says "Error: KMeans baseline phase".
What could this mean?

Hello Yuna,

This error was caused by a mismatch of the (cbtool-assigned) cloud names.

On captured screen on the left side, we can see that you already attached, through the CBTOOL CLI an EC2 Cloud named "MYAMAZON".

On the right side, we see that you attempted a SPEC run using the (default) file ~/osgcloud/driver/osgcloud_rules.yaml, which (also by default) attempts to connect to the "MYSIMCLOUD" cloud. Just change the value of the "cloud_name:" parameter on the first line of the yaml file to identify your already attached cloud.

Regards,

Marcio

Ah, I see! I made your edit and am now getting this error:

 status: Command "rsync -e "ssh  -i /home/ubuntu/osgcloud/cbtool/lib/auxiliary//../../credentials/cbtool_rsa  -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no -o UserKnownHostsFile=/dev/null  -o BatchMode=yes  -l ubuntu " --exclude-from '/home/ubuntu/osgcloud/cbtool/lib/auxiliary//../../exclude_list.txt' -az --delete --no-o --no-g --inplace -O /home/ubuntu/osgcloud/cbtool/lib/auxiliary//../../* 172.31.25.76:~/cbtool/" failed to execute on hostname 127.0.0.1 after attempt 13. Will try 47 more times.

Is this a problem with the hostname? How should I go about debugging this?

Hello again Yuna,

Did you test the individual VMs as indicated on the SPECCloud documentation (https://spec.cs.miami.edu/private/osg/cloud/spec_docs/html/workload_images.html#launch-a-vm-and-test-it)?

If not, please try - before running the benchmark - the following commands on the CBTOOL CLI: "vmattach cassandra" and "vmattach hadoopmaster". If any of these fail, you can debug following the instructions in https://github.com/ibmcb/cbtool/wiki/HOWTO:-Debug-initial-setup

Regards,

Marcio
