Dear ICGEB Liaison Officer,

 
We are very pleased to announce that the Call for the CRP - ICGEB Research Grants 2024 is now open (https://www.icgeb.org/activities/grants/).

Applications are submitted online via the dedicated new portal (https://isg.icgeb.org/auth/login) by the Principal Investigators directly.

 

All the full and complete proposals are visible to Liaison Officers in order for them to evaluate the applications and select those to be endorsed for the annual call.

 

As Liaison Officer you will be notified by email every time an application has been submitted and you will be able to view the full proposal as well as relevant attachments, accessing the ICGEB portal from a dedicated link.

 

A table summarizing all the applications submitted for your country will be displayed and you will gain access to each individual submission. Kindly note that you will be able to share the summary table and related link with any scientific committee responsible for the internal selection of proposals appointed in your country.

 

After the deadline for submission of applications (i.e., 30 April 2024) an automatic message from the CRP portal will be sent reminding you to proceed with the selection and endorsement phase, which will conclude on 31 May 2024.

 

As usual, the maximum number of project proposals that can be endorsed by each Member State is three (3) for standard research grant applications, plus two (2) additional Early Career Return Grant applications.

 

You will also be asked, for each application, to:

1. sign and upload the individual endorsement form, which will be sent to you by email, directly on the ICGEB CRP portal (a link will be sent) and
2. provide a brief note/comment to support your decision relevant to the endorsement. This comment/note will not be shared with the applicant but viewed by the CRP Committee only.

 

Communication and related feedback to all applicants regarding the results of your internal selection and endorsement will need to be sent by you directly, in line with the CRP programme guidelines. ICGEB will contact only the endorsed applicants.

 

Kindly note that if there is any other valid proposal that you would like to highlight for ICGEB, in addition to the endorsed ones, you will be able to use the dedicated space available for each application and provide a justification for the CRP Committee. These highlighted applications will not however be considered as “endorsed” by ICGEB or admitted to the present call.
