The EU Delegation Ambassador to the African Union, H.E. Javier Nino Perez, and his delegation visited the Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) in Ethiopia
On May 29th, 2024, the EU Delegation Ambassador to the African Union, H.E. Javier Nino Perez, and his delegation visited the Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) in Ethiopia. The purpose of the visit was to see the EU-funded research and community service work being carried out at AHRI, particularly the ARISE-PP and Pep4Lep projects.
The delegation included several high-level officials, such as the Minister-Counsellor for Science, Technology and Innovation at the EU Delegation to the African Union, Dr. Laurent Bochereau, the Ambassador of Sweden to Ethiopia and Djibouti, H.E. Hans Henric Lundquist, the Ambassador of Norway to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the AU, H.E. Stian Christensen, the Ambassador of Belgium to Ethiopia, Djibouti and Permanent Representative to the African Union, H.E. Stefaan, as well as the policy assistant to the EU Delegation to the African Union, Ms. Blen Adem, the Science Counselor from the Embassy of Sweden, Dr. Amina Jama, and the Science Counselor from the Embassy of Italy, Dr. Laura Pacifici, and regional representative to EURAXESS Africa, Dr. Yedilfana Setarge.
