Sujet : Dissemination of information on ICGEB Fellowship Programmes (March 2026 call)

Dear Liaison Officers,

As the deadline for applications to the ICGEB Fellowship Programmes is approaching, we kindly request your support in communicating and disseminating this information as widely as possible among relevant institutions, students, and scientists within your Member State. Your assistance will help ensure that the largest number of potential candidates are aware of the opportunities available and can benefit from a fellowship to conduct research at one of the ICGEB Components or strengthen cooperation among Member States through the mobility programmes.
This year, in addition to the Arturo Falaschi Fellowship Programme - open to all ICGEB Member States and offering, for the call with application deadline on 31 March 2026, the following types of fellowships: PhD Long-term, Postdoctoral Long-term, PhD Short-term, Postdoctoral Short-term, and PhD and Postdoctoral SMART Fellowships - the following additional opportunities are open with full details, including eligible countries and specific eligibility criteria, available on the dedicated webpages:
Should we receive complete applications from your Country for long-term fellowships, you will be contacted, as usual, in early April to proceed with the endorsement procedure. We kindly remind you that endorsement by the Liaison Officer is required only for PhD and Postdoctoral Long-term Fellowships, and not for Short-term or SMART Fellowships.
For long-term applications, only complete and endorsed submissions received by the closing date will be evaluated by the ICGEB Fellowships Selection Committee. Please note that ICGEB will contact the awarded and rejected candidates after the final selection. If an application is not endorsed, it will be the responsibility of the Liaison Officer to inform the applicant and provide the relevant explanation. We also remind you that there is no limit to the number of long-term fellowship applications that a country may endorse, and that all requirements are clearly indicated in the respective calls.
We thank you in advance for your attention, your valuable support in disseminating the fellowship opportunities, and your essential role in the endorsement of long-term applications.
We remain at your full disposal for any further information or clarifications.
With our kindest regards,
Chiara
