Open review and assessment improves Design outcome

Any creative Design needs open review and assessment.It's imperative
for Architecture as a functional Art to undergo the same process.Most
often it's seen the complacency of the Architects/Designers ignoring
the users need and assessment.Let's make Architecture peoplecentric not
designercentric.Have we ever thought of evaluation of energy efficiency
in our buildings?Do we find Performance appraisal of building designs
in schools? To-day's Architects and Designers have greater challanges
to face in the fast changing society amidst the threats of
urbanisation,industrialisation and globalisation with socio-cultural
neo-aesthetic intermix and new material culture.We are hardly concerned
with the long term impact for which we shall be made accountable to the
posterity.
Are we concerned about our role and societal prospects? We need to
introspect rather than exploring into self identity. For a Better
Earth, Better Life and Better Tomorrow we need to reinvent and
redesign.We must talk about Ecotecture, Biobuildings and Sustainable
Planning.
The Forum certainly opens up new paths of
understanding and resolving issues related to Design and implication on
a broad platform.The studentarchitcts have the greater advantage of
getting new dimensions to their approach to design dissertation/thesis
with open review and assessments.
