New Geni Features: Genealogy Projects and Surname Pages

Dear palanivelu_n, We've released some new features on Geni that make collaboration and research easier for the community. Please read the following for more details about projects and surname pages. PROJECTS Projects allow Geni users with similar interests to work together on a group of related profiles. Create a project for a specific family, a place, an event, or any other topic. Creating a project is as easy as these three simple steps: Add profiles related to the project Add users who can help with the project as collaborators Write a description Other users can follow the Project to be notified when the project is updated, or request to join the project to help out. Start browsing Projects or create your own: http://www.geni.com/projects SURNAME PAGES Geni users have created nearly 100 million profiles which span more than 3 million surnames. In the past week we released surname pages to create a new hub for finding information about your ancestors. Surname pages display: An "About" section containing surname history and information Projects, Discussions, and Documents about the surname A list of all public profiles with that surname Surname pages are another collaborative effort. You can help improve surname pages by adding relevant information for your surname in the "About" section. View the thenral surname page.
