Hi Team,

Hopefully you all had a great weekend. This is just a little e-blast
to help get things started for our group project.

PLEASE SUBMIT PROJECT IDEAS BY 3PM ON WEDNESDAY
We have a pretty large group, so we want to maximize input and
participation. If you have ideas for a group project, please post your
proposed idea under the group discussion entitled “Proposed Project
Ideas” no later than 3pm on Wed., Oct. 7. We’ll discuss the proposed
ideas and vote on a topic when we meet this Wednesday.

Hi. I like all of the ideas that were submitted, so this is more of a
suggestion for whichever route we choose. In the event that we decide
to work with a school or multiple schools, I think we should keep in
mind Sayde's suggestion that we partner with New Orleans Outreach
(NOO) in some capacity--even if that means presenting the agreed upon
project to NOO. As Sayde expressed, NOO knows the needs of the
students, schools, and administrators if we take the policy approach.
The organization should be able to connect us within a short time
frame. And if you think about it, we have a large group, so we may be
able to extend initiatives to multiple schools and, therefore,
maximize results (long-term and/or short-term). It's something to
consider.
