Book Presentation at OP Walker HS

Team,

The book drive and presentation seem to be a success. We delivered what looked to be at least 1,500 to 2,000 books to O Perry Walker this morning. I would like to especially thank Amy George-Hirons for hosting the drive Saturday and securing some great donation, Linzy Cotaya for coordinating the press efforts at the event this morning, Gina Swanson for getting new coverage from channel 6, Pam Lyons for securing so many donation, John Nguyen for filming the event, Anna Frachou for helping to unload all the books and all of you who helped with the book drive on Saturday.

It was a great experience, the Principal as well as two students thanked the group and gave a short speech then we moved over to the choir room where they sang two songs for us. Their voices were amazing and you could see that they were all appreciative of the generosity of so many people.

Gina will the coverage make the news?
