Section A
该部分有4个模块：第一模块围绕Whose volleyball is this? 这一话题展开思维（1a）、听力（1b）、口语（1c）训练；第二模块围绕上一模块中的话题进行听力（2a-2b）、口语训练（2c）；第三模块继续围绕前两个模块中的“making inferences”展开训练。训练形式为阅读排序（3a）和两人问答（3b）；第四模块仍就上一话题展开讨论。
Section B
该部分有4个模块：第一模块要求根据图画和所提供的单词写出合理的句子；第二模块在听力（2a-2b）和分角色口语训练（2c）的基础上，继续进行“推测”训练; 第三模块围绕“Strange events in Bell Tower neighborhood”这一话题展开阅读（3a）和写作（3b-3c）训练；第四模块以dream为话题展开小组活动。
Self Check
该部分有3个模块：第一模块以填空形式对所学词汇进行训练；第二模块就8个谚语展开阅读和讨论。第三模块要求找出不同类的词。

The first period
Step 1 Let the students review the words by themselves .
Step2 Ask several students to read them.. The other students find out the mistakes .
Correct the pronunciation.
Step3 Explain the important words

Step6 The Grammar: 情态动词表推测 （Powerpoint呈现）
表推测用法的情态动词主要有三个must ,may(might) can(could)
1，must
must表推测只 用于肯定句，表示非常肯定的推测，“一定”。有四个句型：
（1） must be+表语：现在情况的推测。“现在一定做什么”
He must be in his office.
It must be him who broke the glass .
（2） must be+现在分词 ：现在情况的推测 。“现在一定正在做什么”
He likes r eading ,now he must be reading in the library .
She must be cooking now because I ca n smell the food delicious .
（3） must have+过去分词 ：过去情况的推测 。“过去一定做什么”
He must have been late for class .
（4） must have been+现在分词 ：过去情况的推测 。“过去一定正在做什么”
They must have been working for I saw their lights were burning all night long .
2，may (might)
表推测只用于肯定句。但它的语气没有表示推测的语气强烈，语气较弱，表示“可能”
3，can (could)
表推测只用于疑问句和否定句

Step4 Listen and match
Read the instructions to students.
Say, As you listen ,draw lines to correct the person in the first column.
Say, Now listen to the conversation again. Then draw another line to match the thing in the second column with the reason in the third column.
Step5 Pairwork
Practice the conversation in the picture above. Then make conversations using the information in the ch art in activity 1b.
Step6 Listen
Say, Now Bob and Anna found a backpack in front of their school. Would you like to know the things in the backpack? Listen and write down the things in the backpack..

Step7 Practice
Fill in the blanks with the words from unit. Then tell your partner why you choose the words.
