To whom it may concern,
I am trying to create groups of patients (from several combined studies) by selecting their IDs. I have the IDs sorted in an excel sheet, but when I paste the IDs in the "Custom Selection" tab, most of them are not recognized. I get this error "The following case is invalid and will be ignored. TCGA-RC-A6M6".
Big majority of the patients are not being included in the graphs I want to create.

How can I get all the patient IDs to be recognized? I have already tried to paste including study id, but it still does not work.
Thank you in advance.
Laura

Hi Laura, is it possible you didnt select the "By patient ID" radio button (see screenshot)?  The error message is actually misleading (says patient ID instead of sample ID) so that's something we can fix.

The other thing I noticed is that these IDs show up in multiple studies, so they'll need to be diambiguated with study ID.
